Shinigami Guide:
Who Are the Shinigami?
Shinigami - AKA Death gods, or soul reapers in the anime are a group of people Protecting the earth from the threat of hollows. They Wield Swords called Zanpaku-to(u). Have Access to a techinque called 'Kidou' (Demon arts] and in game - are the only one capable of restoring the balance should things go out of line
Explaination of Certs and who can give them:
Certs - as the story progresses lots of rp will be going on around you, some of it will be fantastic some of it will be "Luzls I cut off yer head" it will vary from player to player. Certs are wonderful things they let you do the following: Cert 1 - Name your zanpaku-to, Use shikai, If your human choose Orihime or Sado at level 150 [With 1,300 rei]. Cert 2- Bankai, Arrancar shikai, Sado's Left arm of the devil
How to become a shinigami:
To become a shinigami is simple - First you must train to about 1,300 reiatsu (To be able to train reiatsu you MUST have either 200 strength OR 2000 stamina, you get this via Duel Sparring. ) Once you get that ability. Track down a hollow - roll over and let him kill you off [or pick a good rp fight, asking to be killed, is a bannable offense].
Youll wind up in a tunnel, one path to seireitei the other to earth. If you wind up in seireitei Great!, if not you will need to track down a shinigami npc to perform Konso on you so you can go to seireitei.
if you are denied by the gate - train up your reiatsu a little so its pressure does not push you back - at that point you track down the shinigami Teacher NPC [No you cant kill him, I tried Believe me!] and using the say command say
You:Hello
Teacher - Response here
You- Train me!
Teacher - Are you sure?
You - YES!
Congrats on becoming a trainee!
To become more than a trainee - and get your robes, as well as your sword. You must Reach Battle level 100, And master your first Kidou Shakkahou (mastery will be 100%) Rp with a captain for certification, then take the test.
Returning to earth as a Shinigami:
First once you become a shinigami, with your robe and sword. Head to the lake in the middle of Seireitei, and look for a fellow in a white coat [player] If he has a line in front of him, your going to have to go to the back of line and wait your turn - if there is no line in front of him. Make certain he isnt rping anything important before you approach to ask. Generally you ask for a hell butterfly to: Perform Konso, Maintain the balance, Training, Search for your own squad captain who is currently on earth to report something major. But the reasons will vary.
Captain - Well somehow you managed to blunder your way into a captain spot? CONGRATS [yes it is possible, I was a captain on my first wipe!] Now as a captain - here are a few additional rules to follow - Yes I stole these from sven's post.
1.If your not on for over a week you will be replaced.
2. If someone who has a level 2 certification, a positive reference from 3 or more captains, and GM permission challenges you, you are obligated to accept that challenge.
3. No attacking when someone is going bankai (Captains are supposed to be honorable). Also, don't stand right next to them or put petals or anything next to them so that you can hit them the second they can move again.
4. If you're doing something that might be considered cheap just don't do it, you're a captain and your supposed to act like one. This does not include going invisible, that is just an ability.
5. In the event that a captain needs to be replaced because he/she is inactive or something then the squad captains will vote for the new captain(Captain Commander may over rule this if necessary)
6. You MUST obey the captain commander unless hes ordering you to do something not related to the game OR ordering you to go against Soul Society.
7. Captains cannot run from fights after it has been initiated.
8. Captain Commander can't order people to do something not game related or against soul society, also the commander can't over rule a majority vote without a VALID reason( "I don't like someone" is NOT a valid reason)
